Was chatting with some friends over the weekend, and somehow our conversation about reminiscing some childhood days has brought us share this with you.
The 1970s Raleigh Chopper
A wheelie concept bicycle from the 1970s, which storms most of parts of the world in the late 1970s to the early 1980s, the Raleigh Chopper is easily recognizable by its tall and high wielding handle bars, long and huge comfortable L shape seat (dual mount that is, notice the seat post mounted below and the seat back mounts) and some with gearing options fitted at the straight bar. Also, notice the smaller front wheels and the classic bicycle frame designed.
How many of you used to have one of these? It’s a classic isn’t it. It’s probably one of the best reknown classic bicycles ever created apart from the Penny Farthings.
For a child from the 80s, we used to have one too, but it was probably the later refined generation of it, in purple and white handle bars. How 80s. Wish we had a picture of it. Sigh.
By the way, here‘s some details about it. If you are curious.
